What is UG Crucible Volunteering about?
1 Corinthians 3:9 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Crucible - Our time to connect, confirm and cheer on Sundays
Crucible (literally meaning a place that causes people to change or make difficult decisions) is The Tampa Underground Network's weekly conference designed for missionaries, ministry leaders, guest and visitors to do the following:
Volunteers Make the Crucible Connections Happen
and We're on a mission to help everyone that comes to Crucible to experience a connection. That connection can be with God, others, confirmation or encouragement. Very simply put Volunteers make this happen. During Crucible we need people to be cared for on a number of levels so they are free to experience connection, Volunteers provide this care.
This care may seem like simple acts, but welcoming people, pouring coffee, helping a child, answering a question, adjusting sound, ensuring people know the words to sing, helping those that didn't make it to Crucible see the teaching online, leading a song, saying a prayer can translate to comfort and love for those attending on a Sunday morning. They need this care to be encouraged and refreshed to serve God in the upcoming week. Volunteers make this happen.
What is in it for Volunteers?
It is fair to ask that question. Volunteering your time is costly. We want you to know the following:
We're on a mission to help everyone that attends Crucible experience a meaningful connection,
only great volunteers can make that happen!

Thoughts about volunteering and serving the body of Christ
and Stuff You Need to Know About (it might help who knows)
Hey, I am the Crucible Director. Let it be known that I know we need great volunteers to make Crucible work well.
Just a little about me I have been married for 31 years to Irv Lee, the coolest and smartest man on the planet. I have two great adult children Stephen and Charis. I enjoy Jesus, discipleship, strategy, developing solutions, clear communication, real conversation, laughing, good coffee and social media, probably in that order. I do not like drama, small talk, people who can't laugh at themselves, wasting time, bad coffee and excuses not necessarily in that order.
